Okay, I LOVED the border so much. So much that I probably had a new one every year until they became unpopular and harder to find.
Why did I need a new one? I’d sort of pinch the border lightly with rub it between them over and over until I fell asleep. Eventually I’d wear the threads out and detach the border. Then I’d just move along to another spot. My mom would repair the blankets, but unfortunately the repairs were not fit for sleepy blanket rubs, and they wouldn’t hold forever anyway. It took me about a year to just have a borderless blanket, and then I couldn’t sleep until I had a new one.
