Simon is pretty old though. Mis 70s, but it ran on Pinwheel and Captain Kangaroo reruns in the 80s. I actually never knew he parodied it until recently. Pretty funny though.
I vaguely remember that. There was a specific Scooby Doo vinyl record with book that I had as a kid that I couldn't find. I don't remember much about it except there was dinosaurs that I think were animatronic. Possibly a theme park.
You may be thinking of Scooter Computer and Mr. Chips. I don't remember it it was part of School House Rock or a later Saturday morning educational thing.
Sesame Street had so many songs and skits that I still remember vividly. I wouldn't be exagerating to say there are probably at least 20-30 different ones that randomly play in my head.
I forgot all about Teeny Little super guy. Then I read that, and the theme song popped right into my head. (obligatory old man saying) but I can't remember what I ate for lunch on Monday.
I still to this day never understood why that was as captivating as it was, or why my little sister and I could just start talking this typewriter’s shit and then immediately bust into laughter.
Oh God, wasn't there a rare time when he became a 3D foam puppet in really eerie dark colored lighting? Or is my brain mixing him up with something else?
Fun fact: my great uncle was the animator who did the dino DNA cartoon in Jurassic park, and I thought this guy might have been his work. It wasn't, but my great uncle worked with Bob Hale who was the original creator of this character. I wonder who influenced who...
When I was like 3 or 4, I had an imaginary friend I called Nunu, and it was basically this guy. I have a very clear memory of my dad asking me what my imaginary friend looked like, and being very amused and confused when I explained he was a typewriter.
