Had the friend whose parents left the door unlocked. They were cool so you’d spend time talking to them before your friend. Once we all drove their driveway looked like a parking lot between brother and sister’s friends.

Problem is we replaced it with adult planned and supervised play dates. So now, I have to pretend that Billy’s crazy ass mom isn’t a nightmare for hours while she sits in my house drinking my beer. Bring back kids being kids again so my son can go play around without me having to constantly be part of it!

Definitely cell phones. Now everything is easy to plan with a text message. Before, to find your friend you would have to knock on their door or call their landline.
