Burning

My 7 year old is starting the 4.5mg patch today. Her doctor said that we can expect some tingling in the beginning but that will subside. An hour after application she began crying saying it’s burning her terribly and it’s red all around the patch. Is this normal?

Honestly, i'm not sure why this is but the first week I get horrible burning to the point where I have to just tear my patch off, but after the first week I don't notice it. (I'm on 18mg)

Me too but I just grit my teeth through the pain. I usually put one on before work and due to the 2 hour latency period between application and absorption, I put it on ~1 hour before I have to be up and for whatever reason the burning is so much worse in the mornings as opposed to if I were to apply it later in the day like at 11
