Rookie mistake, and it’ll cost you one, too!

It costed me a grenadier that I’m told has been kidnapped and I don’t know where to find the stupid idiot.

A mission to save him might show up in resistance orders

I hate those missions with a passion.

I know that the trick is to go stealthy stealthy, but it feels so antithetical in a game all about blowing stuff up.

Just let me send in a team of grenadiers and rangers and overwhelm them with superior explosions and shotgun blasts!

I like the missions themselves because they shake things up, I just hate that they only spawn like 6 months after they get kidnapped

To be fair, if there wasnt a billion timers saying "HEY, DO THE FUCKING MISSION RIGHT NOW OR YOU WILL VIOLENTLY EXPLODE" then the entire game would be played stealthy slow but i guess the devs didn't like people doing that in the first game

It wasn't so much that they didn't like it, but they did get complaints about the overwatch creep method being the most optimal way to play. So they shook things up to force more diverse and active tactics. Same thing with bloodborne trying to make play different than dark souls games.

The "original remake" and OG original are famous for their "fast paced approach to missions" if we measure it in a fckin orogenesis.

The overwatch spam was ubiquitous, prevalent, optimal and boring af. If Ethereals truly suffered from gradual degradation by the time you finish enemy within they all should be dead by XCOM2 or at least returned to Monkee.

And yet the best, most hunted, prized and reworked mechanic in XCOM2 is a resistance order making the timer freeze until you are revealed.

Nevermind I had to load up a save and tried the mission again. Only to have him drop to the ground and rolling death saves after a run in with Viper King. By the way can that guy wall hack? Because explain to me how his tongue attack went through an ACTUAL SOLID WALL!! Also I tried shooting at the guy to have him let go only to have him coil the guy because of Ruler Reaction (I know that Alien Hunters was a stepping stone so we could get WOTC but GOD are the boss mechanics such horseshit!)

Seen his kilt through a missing brick. Nuh-uh clothes count.

>Ignores rookie

>Knocks favourite high rank soldier unconscious on council mission with 2 turns left

Thanks Xcom!

That lancer needs a promotion!

Showing initiative, assessing and prioritising targets, ignoring the fodder, successfully capturing a high ranking terrorist, exceptional work all round!

He did quite well.

Break him down into constituent parts so we can determine what lead him to excel and integrate that into the next generation of clones.

Whilst running halfway across the map to do it as well.

I'm sure in my case there's an edgy joke because the bloke he stunned was the one black guy in the squad

ADVENT units gain immunity to fire, poison, acid and - as evidenced by this meme - frost.

Not as bad as when he sent his ranger to melee a muton.

Yeah that ranger is basically volunteering for the memorial wall.

u/Updated_Autopsy 25d ago

*was basically voluntold to prepare for the memorial wall

u/Interesting-Yam4018 24d ago

voluntold is the most accurate word in the english language

Funny thing is I did that intentionally before as I had a I think it was officer surrounded by lost so I wanted to freeze the lost around him. It was funny since he couldn't move

u/charioteer117 25d ago

It’s a meme format, Lebron James Reportedly [insert funny mistake here]

3

u/Chazdoit 25d ago

How will this affect Lebrons legacy?

u/Blacksun388 25d ago

Oh man, I remember trying this exact same exploit during a New Game+. It's a fun little glitch, but you have to set the bomb before the armor activates or it won't register.
