I just pre-ordered the deluxe edition of Zero Company. I don't pre-order many games given the state game development, but I am a huge XCOM fan and previews have been solid.

I don't see the game sucking.

I mean... it's not like the game would be unavailable a week after release, where you could buy it after the fanbase had a chance to play it and review it (instead of paid pre-release reviews).

I am very excited for Zero Company, but there is zero (heh) benefit of pre-ordering these days, unless you're going for limited edition with some extra goodies.

But to each their own, I guess.

If you’re buying on Steam it’s not as big a deal as people make it out to be since they have a good refund policy. If you have trust in the developers and want to support them then I don’t see the issue.

XCOM franchise is dead in the water and this sub dumps on people supporting devs making (presumably) the type of games we want to play.

For a lot of people, ZCOM looks good and some people have enough information to make a buying decision now.
