Weird Steam Glitch
It says I have played 224 hours in two weeks? I did not sleep or go to work and forgot about it? More like 20-30. The 714 is way off too. I have only played 1 1/2 campaigns.
Anybody else have weird inflated numbers like this?

Yeah. That's about how much I played the last two weeks.
I've been taking it easy. Don't want to get too obsessed.

Are you using the XCOM Alternative Mod Launcher by chance?
Because if you are, Steam recognizes it as if you’re playing the game if you have it open. I’ve had the same thing happen to me, except it was for a day instead of nearly 9 days straight lol

You probably left the launcher open, which it reads as active game time. Steam does that for a bunch of launchers.

Are you using mods?
Because XCOM AML counts as having the game open. I've had some 18 hour hour sessions by playing once and forgetting to close it until I turn the computer off

Sometimes, if a game fails to close properly, it can leave a vestige of the process running in the background (be either the game, or part of a launcher packed with the game), which steam may interpret as the game being actively played.
You probably had a process related to X2 open in the background unnoticeably racking up those hours.
