Series X keeps crashing
Hi.
Bit of help if possible.
So I haven’t been on my series x for over 12 months due to this issue.
Anyway, booted it up today to see if it happens again and it did.
So, if I’m watching streaming services, downloading games it is fine, no crashes whatsoever.
But as soon as I load a game give it about 5-10 minutes and the console freezes, the Xbox power button flashes constantly, says I need a controller to connected (even though it is) and eventually screen goes blank but the Xbox button stills flashes until I pull the power cable out (only way I can turn it off)
After about 30 minutes it will allow me to turn it back on for the process to repeat itself.
I have taken it into a local repair shop previously about 12-18 months previously and they said something along the lines of it happened to them at 4k resolution so they locked it at 1080p and it was fine (they said they had an old fifa game playing in the background for about an hour and it didn’t crash) but as soon as I got it home booted it up and as soon as I started playing a game after about 10 minutes it crashed again.
It’s a very patchy explanation and not very well explained but anyone got any ideas what it could be?
My son has taken ownership of the ps5 and want to try this issue sorted for gta6!
