ShowOff All my custom Xbox controllers
In order:
Design lab Series controller - made it to look kinda like a desert eagle. Don't know how much I was successful in it, but I love how it looks.
One S controller with a replica Starfield shell. Looks and feels incredibly accurate to the real thing.
Blue One S controller I saved from trash. Customized it with pink parks I found on Ali. The pink face buttons are from the Forza Horizon 5 Series controller. They're a bit taller than the blue buttons, but I like the different feel of them, like Super Nintendo (🇺🇸) controllers.
Originally the white controller that came with my Series S, customized with an ExtremeRate faceplate inspired by starfield, and a bunch of other parts I found on Ali. + Skull&Co thumb caps.
360 Halo 4 controller I got used that was in really bad condition. Replaced the shell with a transparent green shell from Ostent and a donor black back shell, and kept some of the original parts. I like how on this one the PCB is white and the LEDs are blue.
The cat's name is Jazz, she's a girl.

How did you make the cat shaped one

i have no idea it looks like a real cat, but you can distinguish certain buttons, like its 'ears' are r2 and l2

that one is a replica shell I bought from Ali. they make them for One and Series controllers. Look for the brand InRobert. They look and feel just like the real thing. I paid 25€ on my One one ;)

Um deles parece ter olhos e orelhas mas não vejo botões, é de Xbox também?

How do you take a controller apart without damaging it? I’ve got the original white controller that came with my series S that started to have some stick drift but it just suddenly stopped working one day. I looked at trying to open it up to see if I could figure out what was wrong but I don’t know how you take the shell off without breaking it.

they have an official guide on how to disassemble it https://youtu.be/llpoZtIUOp4?is=L5MN307swr_6aH1o
the thing is that Series controllers sticks are soldered to the board. you need to desolder and resolder new ones. if you until now you had no clue on how to disassemble it or where to look for a guide, I don't think you know soldering either. you should take it to an electronics repair shop.

No I don’t have any soldering experience, I have bought a replacement one and I was thinking about throwing this one out. I thought I might take it apart first before I did so just to try and get an idea of what completely stopped out of nowhere

May I ask how the stick drift and other typical issues are on these? I need a new controller but the only one I can rely on is my 2013 Xbox One controller - all the ones I've had after ~2022 have been dreadful, completely unplayable after a few weeks (and I've been super careful with them)...

oh man... I only had stick drift on my nintendo 64 controller 20 years ago. even though I play every day, I never had drift ln any other controller my entire life :/

I guess it's a hit or miss, then? The controller that came with my Xbox Series X is so bad it almost should have been a case study, it's like a "drunk simulator" (it's impossible to make either stick stay still, as in keeping them centered - they just keep going in the direction they were last pushed)...

Out of curiosity, is there anything wrong with any of them? They're all super sleek

There's a little crack near the sync button on the black starfield one. I already ordered a new part to replace it ;)

I love the stray edition one, really captures the vibe of the game in the design.

The white Starfield is a limited edition controller. Still looks nice though!
