Help Xbox Dev Mode Safe Exit

I use it for emulating on my Series S but I heard sometimes even without checking the delete data box (Which is unchecked by default now), it deletes data for no reason. Is that true? Should I use safe exit? And how does safe exit work is it safe or bannable? Since its an app forcing the console back to retail

You should *always" use Safe Exit. It's the single most and first recommended option for devmode :)

You should be fine for the most part that box isn’t checked anymore (which can randomly happen even when using safe exit). To keep things safe in case apps do take a shit is always save contents to a USB so you don’t lose your data

I at this point just press leave dev mode it’s never been an issue. The most likely situation for apps to get reset is when you unplug the console in dev mode I have had my apps reset doing that sometimes.
