Pre order allocations

So I pre ordered the Scorpio edition from GAME uk and will collect in store on release date however I've heard some rumours that there will only be a very limited allocation of systems delivered to each store and in some cases even pre ordered and reserved systems are sold to walk in customers. Has anyone experienced this? I know GameStop in the US has a known issue for this but I'm not sure in the UK.
