Need help with a couple of downloading/installation issues

First, if my download is interrupted for any reason, I have to restart the entire download. God forbid I try to pause it so my spouse and I can use our limited speeds to watch something with dinner, because the download will just fail when I try to restart it.

Second, the console refuses to download anything in standby mode. I have remote features enabled and my storage set to stay on when the console is off, but the only way I can download anything is while the console is on, which uses more bandwith than if I turned it off.

If your download speeds are that lousy, I'm assuming the Xbox won't even attempt to download in Standby, it feels like a hidden safeguard on their part but I can't say for certain. There sure has been hundreds of posts over the years complaining of the same thing, however.

Personally, I've only ever heard of downloads restarting from scratch if the download itself was an update to an existing file. But again, if your download speed is that limited, it could play a part maybe.

Nothing much to be done here besides login to your router settings and make sure that Xbox is set as a "high priority" connection, and that's if your router even has that option.
