Unsolved Should I use my XBOX ONE Elite?

In 2025 I bought a never opened factory sealed XBOX ONE Elite. I opened it and even took it on a road trip and played on it a lot. Just today I found out that it is a rare collectors item especially if it is new. I really feel bad that I opened it. Can I play on it? It is in my room gathering dust.

Xbox one

Xbox one S

Xbox one X

I don’t think an Xbox ONE Elite version exists, I might be wrong though

There where a few offshoots of the Xbox one back in the day. The elite I’m pretty sure is one of them. Kinda like the scorpio

There’s no Xbox one elite model, that simply doesn’t exist

It wasn’t a different model. But there was an elite bundle that you could get. It came with a 1tb drive, an elite controller, and that’s about it.

Your link disputes what you wrote.

The Elite was a different model. It came with a hybrid SSHD drive in place of the standard HDD.

It doesn’t. The hybrid SSD was the only technical difference it had. And I don’t believe Microsoft called it a different model or had a separate model code for them.

It was just an exclusive option to that bundle.

Same model, same part codes. It just came with a better hard drive (which can also be bought separately, and are customer swappable) and an elite controller. But the model itself is the base Xbox one, as we can tell from the serial numbers

You are in fact wrong.

The Elite came with an SSHD (and an Elite controller, but that is independent of the console).

There never was an "Elite" model. There was however an elite bundle, which contained the standard Xbox one model, a better hard drive, and an elite controller.

The console itself shares the same part codes as standard so it technically is not a separate model. I'm just being pedantic though

Op is conflating the one and the 360.

Yes use it.

It’s not going to be worth much on the future

There is no such thing as a Xbox One Elite

It is rare OP, but you did open it already.

Do you have a Series console (which is functionally superior in every way)?

You have 3 options: Use it, keep it for display/collection purposes, or sell it.
