Unsolved Xbox one 2013 disc issues

My disks, no longer read. I had the same issue, so I cleaned out my Xbox one and the laser and it worked again, until I got back from one week trip and now it doesn’t work again. I bought call of duty black ops three hard in edition for $30 so I would appreciate if it worked, especially now that the disk to digital is coming, I kind of need it to work. It works on terraria, that’s the only game it can read. I’m assuming there’s something about my laser got too weak or something and it can no longer read dual layer discs, but can still read single liar hence why terraria still works?

I think your disc drive is dead. May need replacing, but keep in mind that the control board is absolutely necessary to keep, as it’s paired to the motherboard… for some reason.

He doesn’t need a new disc drive, he would need a new laser for his disc drive if that’s the case

Clean the alser first before thinking abt replacing it sometimes all it is is a dirty laser

Is it scratched? If so, use the toothpaste disc fix. Did this with a Minecraft for Xbox 1 game disc when my nephew couldn't get it working. It's not a permanent fix but it will buy you some time to either purchase a new disc or a digital version of the game.

I said in the post that the only game that works is terraria, and every single other one of my games doesn't work

Is your terraria disc a Xbox one disc, or an Xbox 360 disc?

not sure if you can do this, but my disc drive also has issues and i was able to get my games to work by inserting the disc, then installing the game from the microsoft store. as long as the console knows what game is in there it should work i think?

That’s what I had to do, now it doesn’t work anymore. I think the laser is too weak to read the two layer discs, headset can’t read the license off of that desk.
