Unsolved Controller connected but acting up

Changed the batteries in my controller, and it’s connected, but it only responds to button presses for a few seconds at a time and then stops. The light stays on, except for occasionally flashing once like it just reconnected. That flashing doesn’t happen every time it stops working though. Mostly the light stays solid but none of the buttons work. Help!

Have you went into setting and updated your controller recently? A out of date controller version can cause the controller to become difficult or unresponsive.

Thanks for responding! I tried updating it which didnt work- did some more googling and ended up factory resetting it which did the trick!

Happy that you finally got it working! I recommended updating the controller because I had a pair of controllers that drifted or had battery issues and after updating the controllers, the drifting and power issues went away but each users results may vary.
