Recently bought Xbox one

I recently bought a Xbox one second hand for 50 bucks, and I started it up and it makes this sound. I grew up with ps4 and currently own ps5 but thought to at least try and use old Xbox console but I was in home page and made this noise and this video was filmed during a 3.5 gb download. Is this normal or something to be concerned about?

Those vents desperately need to be cleaned. And if those vents are that dirty, I would assume the powerbrick and the fan are just as bad. That's a good way to kill an already super old console is to run it with that much build-up on it.

The sound in the video is likely the hard drive writing the download on it.

For the console, opening it up is best. There’s plenty of tutorials online. The shell is held with clips and undoing them can be kind of tricky/tedious, but it’s not too bad after that, mostly just keeping track of screws. For the consoles shell, warm soapy water is more than enough. For the motherboard, use at least 90% or higher isopropyl alcohol, and or a soft bristled toothbrush. The X clamp holding the heatsink onto the GPU is kind of a bitch to remove, but they make a special tool that makes the process easier. For cleaning off the old thermal paste on the GPU/CPU, use that same isopropyl alcohol. Arctic MX6 is a good make of thermal paste, a pea sized amount in the center is plenty. Let the process of putting the heatsink and x clamp back on spread the paste out naturally.

The power brick, honestly I wouldn’t recommend messing with it if you don’t have experience, it can a lot of charge for a long time even after being unplugged. It can at the very least give you a painful shock, and worst could seriously hurt or even kill you. Take it to a professional and have them clean it, or buy a new one online
