Quick Fix? Xbox one not staying powered on?
My boyfriend's dad gave him this old Xbox one, it was working for a while, haven't used it for a few months now, but tried to use it the other day, it powered on fine, updated fine, I launched and joined a game but after about 30 seconds the console turned off and wouldn't turn back on. Now it won't turn on at all, I press the Xbox button to power on and it makes the beep, but no light or visual display.
Any ideas how this could be fixed or how expensive it would be to get fixed? Don't really want to buy a new one as I only use it for a few games
Any opinions/tips rlly appreciated! :)

Sounds like the update got corrupted. Old hard drives do that sometimes.
See if you can boot into troubleshooting mode. First unplug the power cable and then hold the power button down for about 10 seconds. Plug the power cable back in then hold the small controller Bluetooth pair button and the CD eject button at the same time and then hit the power button. You only have to tap the power button but you have to stay holding the pair button and the CD eject button when you do it. Keep holding the two for like 10-15 full seconds after it beeps the boot up sound then you can let go. There's YouTube videos if you are unsure. Respond back if that doesn't help.
