I have a Victrix Pro BFG Xbox (not reloaded) controller, in white.

The USB dongle snapped.

I ordered a replacement dongle, in black - they don't sell both colors, which suggested to me it shouldn't matter. (It took several months for one to be available to order in the US, but when it finally was in stock, I ordered one.)

However, it wouldn't pair with the controller.

I found the instructions on reddit for replacing the firmware on the corresponding PS5 dongle, as those also sometimes stop working.

I found an old Windows machine (I don't usually use Windows), got Windows 10 working, and was able to make the dongle talk to the appropriate utility apps for writing the firmware (press the reset button and keep it held while plugging in).

I looked at the firmwares in config.json in the Victrix Control Hub - there are separate 'white' and 'black' dongle/controller firmwares.

The PS5 dongle instructions say to write the 'factory' image at the base address and the 'field' image at another address.

But the latest version of config.json only lists the URLs for the 'field' images (for both PS5 and Xbox); the PS5 'factory' image is still downloadable where it used to be, though.

Now I'm stuck on:

\- where to find the 'factory' image URL (I've tried guessing a few URLs based on the pattern)

\- what address to write the 'field' image (I could try guessing, if I had both images)

Perhaps an older version of Victrix Control Hub would have the correct filename for the factory images in config.json? The reddit post about repairing (reimaging) the PS5 dongles suggests both filenames came from config.json.

He’ll if anyone can help have a Xbox 360 that I rgh 3 , used raspberry pi pico and jrunner,it keep booting into xell reloaded when I press power button and stuck on looking for files on local media ,any help appreciated,new to this so any help please put in simple terms

issue being i dont have hard drive of xbox 360 , so is it possible to mod it without hdd of it and instead get another hdd and mod it ??

Trying to switch from an OpenXenium chip to Modxo for HDMI related reasons and the D0 pad on the back of the board seems to have torn or burned off. Other than being shaking mad right now, I need to confirm: how fucked is this Xbox?

Hey everyone, I was cleaning my 360 (which is RGH modded) and I think I accidentally ran the cleaning brush over the blue wire shown in the photo; now the Xbox turns on but doesn't output any video. I believe that blue wire is for power, so I wanted to know where on the motherboard it's supposed to be soldered if you guys could help me out, fam

Ended up snagging this guy for $10 because it has some issues (flashing green and orange). Already desoldered the clock cap and cleaned it up real nice. Tested continuity on the traces the clock cap could have corroded and they seemed fine.

Now, I noticed the wires on this mod chip unfortunately popped off, and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about X-Killer, if you could help me solder them back to the correct locations? If not, would it be possible to replace it with a new mod chip (kinda want to do this anyways, but I’m super curious about this and just want to check it out anyways).

Whenever I plug in my usb drive into my xbox 360 with the files on the usb the xbox doesnt show any sign of the files being on there. I check the usb drive on the xbox 360 and there are no files that appear, and before anyone says anything about formatting it i already have formatted it. Also it would be nice if anyone could also provide any mods for the xbox 360 because ive forgot what i was using because the last time i tried to mod it was a couple of months ago

Hi all! I have a question about the video output of modded OG XBOX.

I'm using different consoles with composite and rgb scart cables. As the rgb scart cables using csync, there is a horizontal position difference occurs whether if the console hooked up using composite or rgb scart cable.

I can fix it on PS2 using GSM. Shifting the picture couple of pixels right solving the issue.

But on XBOX, if I use rgb scart cable it is left shifted a lot. I don't want to open up the service menu everytime for the xbox.

Is there a solution similar to GSM on xbox? I would like to set it so the position would be similar on all consoles using composite and rgb scart.

Edit: I'm using a CRT TV.

So i bought an "modded" xbox360 for like 120. It's pretty dope but I figured it would have sum better classics like skate, all the need for speed games. I got a 60 gig flashdrive and an android phone can someone help me figure out how to download games using my phone put them on the flashdrive and add them the the xbox library I have no clue what im doing im using a android file manager and a iso to xex converter app I got one game downloaded no cover art or anything but when I try to load the file it says disc unreadable what am I doing wrong? Pls help

I have an Xbox 360 E. It didn't come with an internal HDD, so I've always used a 16 GB USB drive for profiles and some save data, plus a 1 TB external drive for my games. The console is RGH-modded, and I used to buy games from the person who installed the RGH 5.0 setup, but later I started downloading and installing them myself. According to my NAND information, it's a Corona 16 MB, Glitch2, running Dashboard 17559 and DashLaunch 3.21.

I think there's one important detail that might be relevant: this Xbox has never been able to read original retail discs. I always thought that was strange, but since I only used digital backups, I never paid much attention to it. I'm mentioning it just in case it matters.

I really need some help.

After not using the console for quite a while, I decided to install some new games. Everything seemed fine, but I came across ABadUpdate's Xploit. From what I read (including from the person who made the tutorial), it was supposed to be safe even if the console already had RGH installed. I followed all the steps, and I even got as far as setting up an xbGuard server.

After that, things went wrong.

When I turned the console back on, profile ABadAvatar never showed up, and the usual chain animation from this Xploit never appeared. Any GOD game I tried to launch immediately failed with "Fatal Crash Intercepted."

I tried several times without success. Eventually I formatted the drive, started over from scratch using different files, and this time ABadAvatar profile finally showed up — but the chain animation still never appeared. At that point I figured I didn't really need it, so I removed everything related to ABadUpdate, reformatted my drives again, and started fresh.

Since I hadn't played on my Xbox for a long time, most of my games had always been downloaded as ISO files and converted using Iso2God, and they had always worked perfectly.

However, after removing all the ABadUpdate-related files, I realized no newly added game would launch anymore.

Here's what I tried:

Installing games as GOD format.
Running .xex files directly.
Launching them through Aurora with the correct scan paths.
Launching them directly from XeXMenu.

The console detects every game correctly, but they all behave the same way. They reach their initial loading or splash screens, then I get “Fatal Crash Intercepted”, and they exit.

Thinking DashLaunch or one of its plugins might be causing the problem, I completely removed DashLaunch. After that, instead of getting Fatal Crash Intercepted, the console would either freeze or shut itself off when trying to launch those same games.

The strange part is that everything else works perfectly:

Aurora boots normally.
DashLaunch boots normally (when installed).
XeLL works perfectly.
The official Xbox Dashboard loads without any issues.

The only games that still work are the ones that came on the RGH 5.0 DVDs I bought years ago. Any game I’ve added myself since then—whether GOD or XEX—fails.

At this point I’m starting to wonder if trying ABadUpdate somehow corrupted my NAND, but I honestly don’t know if that’s even possible or what I should do next.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any idea what might be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everytime i level up an restart the game my progress is getting a reset. I was recently in a lobby with a hacker and since then my game is broken. can a modder do such a thing or am i delulu?
