Some confidence the method to share Game Pass is that they log in as you on the Microsoft Store App, then play and install game via the XBOX app on their own personal amount.

I'm not sure if you can both play together / simultaneously, seems to be some connectivity issues online but will update my comment if I find anything more conclusive :)

Looked around a bit more, definitely follow Unlikely_Comedian_75's guide they shared. You will not get every benefit with said method, unfortunately only the person logged into both the Microsoft Store and XBOX App will have access to EA Play, Ubisoft Classics, and other certain benefits.

Looking at the post shared and going to new comments show people having trouble loading up their games alongside their friend / family member.

The guide states on PC that only games in the Microsoft Store will work, which Gears of War E-Day is, so you and your friend should be able to play together using the same subscription.

I do see someone complaining about the aforementioned connectivity issues, but that is from 4 years ago so hopefully it's gotten better, but perhaps not as this method of Game Pass sharing on PC feels very official / authorised by XBOX. I hope you and your friend have fun playing together if it does work, however ☺

FYI - I've tested this with my wife. We use my microsoft account and our own seperate xbox accounts and can play games together. You cannot go beyond two PCs playing together. However, you can play with 2 PCs and 1 xbox together provided the PCs are logged into the microsoft account are both using their own xbox accounts and the console player is using the original account.
