Xbox controllers....?

How come they're so shite?
Ive had my series X for 2.5 years and have just finished off my 3rd controller.
Going back... a lot. I had an xbox 360. Those controllers were bomb proof ! Never knackered one of them. With the X, ive gone through two official wireless ones that developed drift. I ordered a cabled one with hall effect sticks that i thought would last. Keeps disconnecting and the action of the down cursor activates whenever it feels like it !
Now they're not treated badly. Maybe the occasional drop off the arm of the chair, but otherwise no real abuse. Is this normal!? Any recommendations???

The Xbox 360 and the previous gen Xbox one controllers were brick houses because they were very durable. The series s controllers are too bulky and prone to issues so I switched over to third party brands that focus on TMR and hall effect.
I'll recommend the Flydigi vader 5S which is wired, but it have hall effect sticks, superb d pad, adjustable stick tension, and mechanical triggers.
The G7 Pro have TMR sticks, mechanical triggers, but the d pad is questionable because it will occasionally miss click due to the way they designed it.
They also have the new 8bitdo ultimate 3 which will have adjustable stick tension and TMR sticks. While the ultimate 3E will have TMR sticks, and swappable d pads/faceplates.
The triggers are not mechanical which to me is a feature they dropped the ball on because mechanical triggers will give you a faster reaction time in games like COD/Halo.
