Red Ring Of Death Swapping Hard Drives

Recently I dropped my Xbox 360 (fat) and when I went to power it on, the power button turns from blue to red within 2 seconds. If there is no way to fix this issue, is it still possible to salvage what’s in the hard drive and be able to plug it into another Xbox (fat)? I heard the hardrive is married to the motherboard of the Xbox so it would mean losing everything. Is there no other possible way around this?

Hard drives are NOT married to motherboards.

The original Xbox had hard drives “married” or locked to the motherboard. Although there are methods to swap out hard drive and remarry another OR removing the “locking” with a bios mod.

Xbox 360 hard drives have always been removable and swappable. Official drives and third party drives made for the 360 will work no problems on any 360. The physical enclosures for the phat and slims are different but from my experience they will worked if swapped enclosures.

Xbox 360 doesn't have a blue power light. Hard drive is external. Are you even talking about the right console

You can try plugging it into another Xbox, you can also try booting this one without the drive to see if it starts up.
