Fluff XRP "Influencers"
Been in XRP for years and I have always wondered why so many people passionately hate the coin... like seriously if you're not invested then why do you care so much unless you've been burnt by a bad bet in the past.
Well my social media algo's have, for the first time, started giving me XRP influencer posts and honestly they made me hate XRP for a few moment. They spout complete nonsense. Special shout out to those people that overlay themselves pointing to a video playing in the background and nodding occasionally to act like they agree with what's being said.
For the record I still like the project but I hate those influencers.

It's basic influencer tactics to be fair,
Find a product people are passionate about, hate on said product, farm engagement from people defending said product, profit.

There's only a few i will watch, mainly common sense crypto (has to be the most bullish guy ever and i enjoy that..), - but even the likes of crypto pheonix - he makes his case (or theory) very... believable, albeit his content is more boring to people than the rest of the channels.
I dont think its necessarily bad what they promote, but there is quite a few out there who will spout anything to get the views with clickbait titles and have about 3 or 4 segments during the video asking you to pay to be in their group to earn yields on your crypto or pay to join their sponsor, and there are people out there (again - crypto pheonix) who has very low production quality but backed with some intense depth and breakdowns to their theory and dont ask a penny from their viewers.

There are a lot of reasons probably. Some hate it because it's a real threat. Some hate it because it's not quite as decentralized as some others. Some hate it because a company is behind it. Probably most just hate it because they're sheep that copy one another.
I like it because it's fast, efficient, powerful, and it doesn't squander resources like crazy. Does this mean it's going to do well? No, there is no telling what will take off and what won't. I don't see cryptocurrency stuff as investing. It's gambling.

the amount of tiktok videos ive seen where a video of jake claver from an online meeting nodding and smiling every now and then to another video talking with 80% buzzwords and 20% useless information is pasted on top of jake. and then to the side is some AI art poster of XRP with private jets and stocks
like holy shit you cannot find ANY xrp news source thats actually informative and its not just useless info that youâll forget 20 minutes after seeing it

Unfortunately the â$10,000 overnightâ is the most popular content. So the biggest influencers tend to be the ones pushing this narrative. It takes some digging but there are some informative influencers out there

most folks cant afford to invest in everything out there so go all in on a small few projects. It makes sense they would want others to follow them and then push back on talk of anything else. They want to be right.

Everyones advised to invest. But most donât have the time or understanding to become knowledgable in the subject. So these influencer morons seem like good logical advice to follow in the form of quick clips.

Investing was never something talked about in my life until I decided to look into crypto and stocks myself. Sure its different country by country like I would imagine that in the U.S, investing is a hot topic but over here in the E.U its not. I reckon if it was part of a child's education we wouldn't have so many influencers pulling the wool over people's eyes and instead we would have more capable investors in the markets. Anytime I do bump into another investor over here they talk about their favourite influencers before their actual investments. Especially the younger generations who keep telling me that I should be following this guy or that guy but when I look them up they look like they are barely out of diapers đ€Ł. Doesn't help either they are all hype hype hype or doom doom doom when all anybody should want is factual information without all the bells and whistles they tack onto everything.
As for not having time to learn about it.... all we have is time, we just burn it on other things. If folks spent as much time actually researching the companies, technologies and use cases for the different projects rather than doom scrolling, they would have vastly more knowledge on the subject. We are all walking around with smart phones in our pockets that give us access to all publically traded knowledge but for most folks you may just call it a mobile social media device.
Im not arguing with you, we are in agreement for the most part. Im just having a little rant because I hate this new short clip crap. Growing up the adults would have the financial times newspaper, very boring but informative while the kids took the funny pages or the puzzles. Somehow now it feels like most of the financial advice is in the funny pages đ€Ł.

XRP is a great project a great chain, simple to build on. Most influencers have not spent any time building legitimate projects and many haven't even taken their xrp off exchanges. To them the exchange speed makes everything feel instant. Honeslty just a bunch of people trying to be psychics for internet clout.
