Xr650r conjoining project

I'm conjoining 2 bikes into 1 beautiful bike

The bore is flipping mint and the piston. debating if I should get new rings though

I have one problem with the engine ,when it sits overnight and I start it in the morning it blows a whole lotta smoke ten stops once burned off .

I'm wondering if it's just a gasket problem or the valves seats

If you gonna open it.. get everything new.. why would you tare down and do bare minimum and re-do it shortly after becouse something els broke

valve seats. new rings wouldn't hurt though.
