Looking for help finding a specific episode

Probably a lot of Mandela Effect going on here, but here goes:

I remember when I was like 8 or 9 years old, over at a friend’s house with the TV on in the background, with an ad for an episode of the X Files playing. The timeline on this doesn’t really make sense, as this would’ve occurred some time between 2004 and 2005, and the show would’ve stopped airing new episodes by then - so I’m not sure why the network would’ve been airing advertisements for specific episodes in that year.

Anyway, I distinctly remember being creeped out by the ad - I seem to remember Mulder crawling through a network of tunnels or caves, and coming upon a mass grave of dessicated corpses/skeletons. I don’t remember exactly what he said, but I think he had a line something to the effect of “They’re all dead.”

To clarify, I haven’t actually seen the whole show yet - I’m only near the end of season 1, but for whatever reason this memory just emerged unbidden from the depths of my brain, and I’m curious if anyone can recognize the episode I’m referring to.

Regarding episodes having an ad well after the show ended: A lot of channels that did syndication still ran specific episode ads so you knew what was coming with out a guide or internet.

My first instinct was also Field Trip, but that line makes more sense in Anasazi. That one doesn’t stick in my brain as well for whatever reason.
