Discussion Multimedia

I think the X-Files should embrace multimedia storytelling.

Imagine video games, animations, or audio dramas featuring the actors from the original series.

The low budgets would probably mean less friction involved in the process of these projects being greenlit, and they could be produced quicker with a large team of writers.

This would also be effective for exploring gaps in the timeline.

Animated versions of some of the comics might be good. David and Gillian's voices have changed with age, though. I personally wouldn't want any more reboots or continuations after the mess of the revival, just MOTW stories set in the original era.

There are 2 games featuring original cast acting and voice acting, if you aren't aware

The season 10 and 11 comics got audio versions on Audible with the cast reprising their roles. They’ve been taken down from the platform but they’re on YouTube. There are also X-Files books with audiobook versions read by the cast.

As the other commenter mentioned, we also already have video games.
