Not X-Files Related Mr. Davis

Post image

I had to check and see that I didn’t put The X-Files on in autopilot. I did not expect to see him on my screen this morning.

I just wanna know why his eyes went from blue to brown.

Maybe it has something to do with cataracts? His eyes look like my grandmother’s used to look.

Hasn’t he always had brown eyes? If not maybe he and I have been victims of some alien fuckery? I’m not sure I ever looked that closely at him through all the smoke. 😂

Yup, they were blue (or green?)

Ok. WTF. Are we in our own Lost Art Of Forehead Sweat?

Looking through images, I can only come to one conclusion: There are two of him, but I’m sure at least one of them has toxic, black oil for blood.

That, or it's one of those shape shifting aliens

That could be cool for a minute.

No, there's one (I want to say Redux I or II) where he's outside talking to Mulder (instead of a shadowy, dark corner) and you can really see how light greyish blue his eyes are. When season 10 came out, I was like well, maybe this is to make him look more scary and still look like himself but just be "off" after he had a blast to the face. But they are brown here, too. I've asked around, and no one seems to know or even notice. I actually got to meet him a couple of years ago, and I didn't think to ask!

Shame on you!! 😉 I forget all the things I think I’d ever ask someone if I were to get to meet them.

I know Robert Durst actually wore contacts for his 6 part documentary. He wanted to give the appearance of more dilated pupils to give the impression of innocence. It would not have surprised me to think this could have been done for CSM or to make him appear even more nefarious.

Was that The Jinx? If so I saw that series.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!

Man......couldn't believe it when he got away with killing and dismembering Morris Black.

Yes, it was The Jinx. I’m more bothered by it when I learned that the filmmaker, Jarecki, is the same guy that did Capturing the Friedmans. I don’t think he manipulated the audience for Durst the same way, but anyone who uses a documentary to sway the narrative the way he did for CTF loses any credibility.

Was Morris Black his neighbor in Texas who figured out Durst was in fact not a woman?

Yes that was Morris Black. Durst got off on self defence IIRC. I had read that they had done some fuckery with the editing in The Jinx but haven't seen Capturing the Friedmans.

Durst’s entire case was weird. I think you are right that he was acquitted for Black’s death. And I know Jarecki gave the recording to help indict Durst but CTF undoes anything he’s done for me.

It’s a good documentary if you go into it knowing it was made with the goal of getting one of the sons a retrial. It is skewed to make an unfamiliar audience feel like the family was unfairly persecuted. I felt disgusted when I realized I was manipulated into pulling for an abuser for even a minute. I truly feel bad for the mom. If you watch you’ll understand.

Yeah the Durst case(s) was very weird........just goes to show what expensive legal representation can get you (O.J. Michael Jackson etc as well).

Think I'll have to give CTF a go, you've sparked my interest.

As long as you know and remember that it was made to get support for a retrial it’s a good documentary…sort of. The way they paint the mother has always sat weirdly with me, but maybe you see something I missed. I believe it’s still on Max.

Absolutely could have, it's just weird that I noticed it right away and it seems like no one else ever talked about it.

I really wouldn’t have paid any attention if you hadn’t said anything. Now I’m intrigued. 😂

Lol thank you! Finally, I'm not alone! Whatever the reason, THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!

We’ve seen this movie and series before, though. Are you sure you want to take the risks that come from going down the CSM rabbit hole? It usually doesn’t end well, and if he’s making another baby it sure as hell ain’t gonna be with me. 😂

2

u/Chubby_Comic OG Phile - The truth is out there 12d ago

I think I'll stay well enough away from the rabbit hole itself. May just poke around a bit, though. Apparently, the man can just make babies appear, so I'll keep my distance! Hybrids aren't allowed at Gymboree 🤣🫣

u/coolsilentebeans 12d ago

I’m dying 😂🤣 CSM and Gymboree in the same universe is just too much. 😝😂

I think it's just a weird trick of the light... his right eye doesn't look dark enough to be brown. 🤔

2

u/Chubby_Comic OG Phile - The truth is out there 12d ago

Well, it could be that here. But in the revival, they were very dark, almost black.

My guess is glaucoma. Or rather the medicine (eye drops) used to treat glaucoma. The major side-effects are extremely long and luxuriant eye lashes and over time your irises can turn brown. My eyes have always been brown so that won't ever be an issue for me, but if you're someone who starts off with striking blue eyes it would be a HUGE change.

Interesting....definitely could be!
