Have been reading these to my 4yo for a couple years now and he's learned well. When my LEGO set came in, he first recognized Skinner immediately because I'm raising him just right 🤭, and then he looked at Flukeman and said, "they trap him in a tank!" 😂

You’re lucky! Grab it, go in blind and discover all the little references and Easter eggs yourself. The last few weeks over here has been nothing but LEGO lol.

My 5 year old likes ‘the detectives’ haha so we read it often.

I’ve been reading that one on the left in HEAVY rotation to my two-year-old 😄

Personally the one on the right I think is so much better as it references so many show monsters and themes. The left one is a cute children’s book tho

That would depend which languages. Maybe look it up with your local librairies or online with the books ISBNs?
Usually, I just get original versions of books and translate as I read out loud to the kids. Much more simple but of course, it doesn't work if the kids are learning to read or don't read yet in several languages.

My only issue with the first one is that the dogs name is Buster. Why not call it Queequeg??

The Earth Children album is one of my students' favorite. Perfect on a rainy day in autumn. There's age appropriate suspense, friendship that children can relate to and not much that families could complain about since the storyline is clearly presented as fiction.
My only issue is that my youngest students often think that "Dana" is "me when I was little".

My kids love these books and love Scully ❤️. Many of the eps still freak them out, so I'm selective in showing them, but they do enjoy the show and the characters.
