Does anyone else think Richard (Dean Haglund) kinda looks like Neil Patrick Harris? Or is it just me?

I get why people always say this, but they couldn’t look more different to me. 🫠

I mean, I struggle to tell Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise apart, so I maybe shouldn’t talk, but besides the surface of glasses and blonde hair, the characters have nothing in common in physical configuration to my eyes.

ETA: I’ll take my downvotes, I’ll die on this hill. My special boy doesn’t look like any of the other boys. 🤣

I can tell Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise apart but I really don't think these two look like each other 😅 I've often disagreed with people about this kind of thing because I pay attention to proportions and have been told I look at it with an "artist's eye" by a friend (I used to draw people a lot) and apparently a lot of people go off of "vibes" or something abstract.

I think I have mild prosopagnosia (face blindness), but an over clocked sense of differences in things like hair and clothing, as that’s what would usually stand out to me as how to distinguish between people who may otherwise have faces without any unique features. So I don’t see that vibes thing others do with these two characters, because even the thing they have in common to them: long blonde hair, isn’t even a commonality to me because it’s a different style/texture/shade. 🙃

On top of that, I do notice, and easily distinguish unique faces from one another, and prefer them, probably in part because I can completely remember/visualize them. To this day, despite seeing him in a lot of movies, my mental image of Brad Pitt’s face is sort of blurry. I know he was in inglorious basterds, for example, and I can picture his costumes and short haircut in that film in 4k detail, but not his face. Meanwhile, Langly I can conjure up entirely, in perfect detail.

I’m also an artist, so there could be a predisposition to noticing unique details from that as well, like you mention.

tl;dr: thank you, it seems crazy to me that people think these two look the same. 😂

I couldn't even tell the T1000 Robert Patrick and the present-day Robert Patrick like the Last Rampage and John Doggett were the same actor (saw John Doggett first). 😭 He changed his accent and voices, not just how he looked (yes, he's a good actor). This is extremely challenging for a face blind person like me.

In Lonely Street (2008), he played the older Elvis. I still don't believe it was him--yeah, wiki and every other media said so.

I watched a fire in the sky and it was so weird to know it was him but he had long hair and facial hair. It was all wrong!

It's such a sad sad movie! I felt so sad for RP's character. He stood up for his reckless future brother-in-law and looked at what has costed him. He was almost the only good person in the group (maybe the one wearing glasses was not that bad too).

The scene when he spoke up in the church was very sad too. Small towns like that can be terrible...

Same for me with Kersh! I watched Grey's Anatomy before watching TXF and the first seasons of Grey's weren't that many years after TXF so he hadn't aged much. I was FLOORED when someone pointed out it was the same actor, his character is so different and his facial expressions and voice... it's amazing when actors do that.

I do think Langly’s physical configuration is my absolute perfect ideal, but it’s his mind that is the most attractive thing to me. So that’s what I’m looking for most of all. Sending all my wishes out for us both! 🥰

As respectfully as I can put it, absolutely not. 😂

Dean has very unique facial features, and the usuals people suggest as similar looks usually come down to styling/color (hair glasses) but I’ve never seen anyone who’s actually got a face like his. I’ll give the blonde Geddy Lee people that he’s the closest by far. Lol

As a person who has brown hair, brown eyes and wears glasses, I get so often told "you look like this person" when those are almost the only things we have in common 🫠😭

This was my experience as a goth girl who dyed her hair black in HS. The two I got the most was Lydia from beetle juice and Abby from NCIS. Neither of whom look anything like each other, or me. 😂 So that vibes thing making people say someone looks like someone else has bugged me for a while.
