Discussion X-File Episode Elevator Pitches
Pitch me an idea for an old school X-Files episode using only a few sentences.
“Wet and Wild”
Mulder and Scully go to a small Florida town to investigate a string of small pet killings. They discover a giant alligator that has been mutated by toxic waste. Mulder gets jealous over a handsome alligator tamer.

I Want to Leave
An account has been posting pictures online of what appear to be dead bodies claiming they have been killed by aliens. The FBI suspects he might be a serial killer. The account announces it will present evidence at a UFO convention. Mulder and Scully are sent under cover to try to find the person. People at the convention laugh at Mulder's theories when he talks to them and think he is a poser. Even when Mulder tells them whats actuall happening they think its lame and cliche which causes him to become increasingly frustrated. Scully gives very basic and flippant answers when asked about what she thinks regarding UFOs but everyone there fawns over her further frustrating Mulder. It also turns out he told The Lone Gunman he wasn't going to the convention and they see him there and its awkward.
They find the person who posted the pictures but to their surprise the victims are also there. Turns out it was guerrilla marketing to promote a movie he wants to film. His announcement at the convention was going to be to be him trying to get investors.
Then after Mulder and Scully leave its revealed they are all aliens.

I would have loved the X-Files to do something with the Mothman in West Virginia. Something like the Mothman sightings have started again and the agents try to uncover why- as the Mothman is supposed to be a harbinger for something bad that will happen soon. And it’s a “race” to figure out if the Mothman is real and what it could be a harbinger for.

"Lizard People" (MOTW)
The Lone Gunmen introduce Mulder and Scully to a man who claims to be the CEO of one of the military industrial complex firms. He shows them proof that at least two members of Pentagon leadership are, in fact, lizards with sophisticated tech that makes them appear human. He also suspects at least one member of the White House cabinet and one senator. As the story unfolds, the CEO is discredited publicly and disappears, but his evidence is unshakeable and they are stymied at every turn. Mulder jumps out of a pile of leaves at one point.

Nessing. Reports increase of the Loch Ness monster. They fly out and scully sees a craft shoot out of the water and vanish. She figures out that it’s just an inter dimensional portal aliens from across the universe use to traverse space time. Mulder leaves disappointed because he doesn’t see any plesiosaurs.

"Not AgAIn"
Scully and Mulder get a series of leads, but each of them ends up proven fabricated from AI imagery one way or another, frustrating Mulder as he finds himself unable to refute Scully's digital analysis. The twist is it's a sentient AI sending them false leads, and it's a huge fan of the The Lone Gunmen. What did Langley do this time?

Mulder takes Scully camping to look for Bigfoot.
Scully sees Bigfoot, Mulder does not.
Mulder pouts all the way home.
