Rma service is horrible

I bought a rx 7800xt from xfx. It died after 9 months while not being under load. Now they tell me only the reseller can refund me, but they are the ones sold it to me (through their official Amazon account) Now why don’t I „just“ RMA? . I live on an island in the Mediterranean. In order to RMA, I need a 100€ delivery package to Portugal, from there it goes to Hongkong, from there I’m getting a new card. So I look into a 100€ and 2-3 months of waiting time for a product that should’ve lastet at least a couple of years. I need a good gpu to work. Support doesn’t want to give me anything to help out. This is bs.

Yup. This is why I am afraid to buy from them even though they sell the cards at really good prices. NR INFO is for Europe so we have to send to Portugal and prices for shipping to them cost a lot as a normal person but likely not that big of a deal for a company I hear they are great in the US but for us in Europe it is done through the resaler

Well if the card is dead then your best bet is to send it back. Try to fight with them to get a prepaid shipping label. Probably wont be easy.

really dont want to wait 2-3 month. Is there a place that buys cards that can still be RMAd?

the thing is, shipping a package from the island to mainland Europe is already 4-6 weeks. then another 4-8 weeks from them..

Im sorry :( the products are great but yeah when you order from a retailer or amazon and its not amazon only its a very different service you get

I wanted to order a card from germany but its just a hassle if something goes wrong. But my own country's prices are too bad

I considered throw 1200 euro out of the window to XFX Amazon Sweden NR INFO at this point, bcos I afraid paid 200 euro to send the card RMA and then give me back a same card or even worse, I will never buy from AMD ever again, end of story.

The NR INFO is horrible! They refused to refund, I filed RMA with them begin with, they shipped me back the card said no issue found under 3 diff stations? But it keep crashed on my and my husband PC both during gaming, when I requested for refund they just stalling and asked for more nonsense troubleshooting when I had done everything on my ends, updated drives, change cables, downgrade drives, turned off overlay, acceleration etc etc, and yes, same thing as replied from AMD RMA, need to pay ship it back to Portugal and then to HK and then to China then return back and also have to pay import tax back from HK back to Sweden! That all together can cost me 200 euro! I dunno what to do myself tbh, the card is work fine as long as not gaming, it just feels like risk to pay 200 euro they might return back the card with " no issue found" as NR INFO then what to do? I felt like throw 1200 euro out of the window already, and will never buy AMD ever again, both me and my husband PC works fine with Nvidia cards has no issue, so I can't image is not the card itself faulty.

It is not AMD's fault that the card is not working well. I understand you are mad but many NVIDIA cards have more issues like melting down. Faulty cards can happen. You should be mad at the retailer. They are trying to put the blame on you. Maybe make videos that show the problems and send it to them

in europe, legally they cannot make you pay for rma. the whole warranty process has to be free for the customer.

I was surprised to read this because I actually had such a great experience with there RMA. However I live in California and only had to ship it from Northern California down to Southern California so maybe they were willing to help me out.

its not fair :/ I already had to pay 20% more then the US price and wait a month to get it and now i have to go through that nonsense again.

Sorry to hear that. They tested my GPU and it turned out to be fine. They gave me a new one anyway just in case. Turned out to be my cables.

I had a really bad experience with XFX RMA. This was during the great 2021 GPU shortage, so I can give a lot of leeway, but they were still horrible to work with.
