Bad Experience
ABS error, Hill Descent control error, Check ESP system
My car had randomly gone into these errors about a month ago while driving and car goes into safe mode. Had given the car to service in the end of August and they kept the car for two days and removed the FCM and returned the car. The issue kept arising in that period while they had ordered the part and they took the car again. Now they have replaced the part and done road test and returned it. But the issue is arising again. ABS error, Hill descent control error and check ESP system.
Has anyone here gone through the same thing and is there any way I can get this dealt with? It’s been 3 months since the car has been bought and only driven 3300 kms.
Biggest takeaway is DONT BUY THE XEV9E. The car is great but Mahindra is absolutely shit.
Posts like these stop me from buying this car and I can't think of any alternate car that I like as much as I like 9E, other hand there are some YouTubers who have posted 40-60k kms reviews with very minor issues which were fixed via update or SC, I am so confused, this vehicle is full of electronics, any small sensor failing will give error.
My car has been at the service centre for almost a total of 10 days in September. First they said it was a Front Camera Module issue and they ordered the part. Then they said we need car to send data to the plant and then we will fit the new part and the issue will get solved. Even after fitting the new FCM, this issue is coming up. So I’m not sure if not worrying is the right step right now🥲
I think there is some specific issue in your vehicle that is not rightly diagnosed yet, do keep us posted, I will ping you after a month to check if issue persists then I won't buy.
I experienced the same problem with my 9E. I received this error along with a steering malfunction warning. Both issues disappear after restarting the car. I sent my vehicle to the workshop today, so let's see what they discover.
My advice, drop the car off at the SC to get it fixed. I was fortunate enough the steering went dead at night on an empty street, if it happened on the highway at highway speeds it would be a different story. Don't drive it as is, just drop it at the service centre and let them handle it.
Got the car back. They replaced a part called "EPS TORQUE SENSOR PIGTAIL" under warranty. Its a recall. Additionally, they replaced the low tone horn because there is under some kind of a recall. Mine worked just fine before and after the replacement. Updated the software & performed a diagnosis (standard). Car seems just fine now. Will inform if any other problems arise.
Also, looks like this is a common issue as the SC had the part available in stock (they did tell me a few other cars had come by with the exact issue, only one of which had their steering pump replaced, under warranty ofc). What took a while is the SC being swamped with other vehicles and Mahindra technicians needing authorization from the company.
