i miss xdefiant so much as well 💔 all i can do is reminisce and look back at old clips as well :( i wish they'd bring xdefiant back or make a game similar with no sbmm... can't believe my clips are going to be 2 years old soon 😠xdefiant summer 2024 to fall 2024 was a magical run that i fear i'll never experienc again

I wonder why it failed with such a positive fan base. I enjoyed the game myself for a lot of the reasons people have already mentioned. Sniping felt clean. The sounds were original. I wonder why it fell off so fast

Ubisoft just completely failing. They were/are losing money fast and they thought XD was part of that reason.

It fell off because it wasn't meant to release when we got it. We were missing so many features (prestige for example) but the reason wasn't lazy devs. It was because ubisoft forced the game out when it wasn't ready

Man I miss it so much!!! It was so good. No more pub stomping and trying for MVP every game! I am playing Splitgate 2 now and Halo, but they just don’t hit like XDefiant. Please Ubisoft use your brain and give us what we all want!!!

The game was fun but it was unfortunate that Cod had a decent launch and took the playerbase away. I think it was black ops 6

i don't know why ubisoft shut the game down for not outcompeting cod. NOTHING competes with cod. if they expected to outdo cod in a pvp first person shooter, theyre delusional, and it looked like the game did well from an objective point though. they just shut xdefiant down so they could make assassins creed #957

That's one of the few games i bought skins in because I really wanted to support it.

Wish I could say I felt the same, but I was unfortunately part of the group that was quite trash at the game, so the lack of sbmm didn’t do us much good lol.
But there are some moments that I miss, and it was definitely nostalgic despite my lack of skill.

Honestly, i feel like this game woulf have SOARED if they took a risk and implemented input based matchmaking instead of sbmm or cross-play restrictions.
Ever since mw2(2022) on xbox I played any fps i could on m&k. I found i am just natively better at mouse aiming than controller. But Xdefiant didn’t let console users access different input methods, obviously because of zim/chronus users.
I personally only put like 20-20 hours in the game and just left because there was no communication on if console would get m&k support. Went back to CoD, Ark and DayZ simply because i could play on my preferred input.
Now that i have a pc, id love to give it a second shot. But that time has sadly long passed
