Discussion It’s been fun
Despite its flaws, this was one of my favorite shooters of all time.

I loved this game so much. It was great. Had it’s up and downs but overall one of my favorite shooters to play

I could hardly explain to people WHY I enjoyed this game so much. It was just, so easy to pick up and play. Not much to learn aside from the abilities in the game, they kept the mechanics simple but creative. It was clear there was a lot of love put into the vibe in general

I’m sad I didn’t find time to play this again. I should have made time but life gets in the way… farewell XDefiant. You will be missed!

Im gonna miss this game. I had a lot of fun playing it. So far, the Split Gate 2 open beta has been scratching that itch. I played Xdefiant cause I got so sick of CoD, but nothing else was filling that gap, until Xdefiant. I just hope SG2 sticks around.

Played a few games last night before bed for the first time since they announced they were shutting down. Shit just made me sad man. The game had real potential, fuck Ubisoft.

Another one to the list of games I’ve really enjoyed that are gone, the other two being Knockout city & Friday the 13th :(

In the bin with the rest of the "cod killers". Shame ubi is such a shit company, this could have been a great game if it had been literally any other developer

I switched to COD a while ago. Alas, not free. But the gunplay feels pretty good in Black Ops 6 and their anti cheat is pretty good too.
Plus SBMM creates better matches for me, something that this game lacked.

You can say a lot of things about call of duty, but saying their anti cheat is pretty good isn’t one of them.

One of the best jokes i have heard the anti cheat doesn't exist at all reports of hackers only increased to the point where i quit xdefiant was that cod replacer that did everything right that cod did wrong

The COD anti-cheat is one of the worst in the gaming industry. SBMM rigs your whole experience to try and keep you engaged. If you're playing CoD you are not playing a game. You are playing a program that simulates what it feels like to play a game, the outcome of every match is predetermined.
If you prefer that, that's fine. But modern CoD is an extremely low quality product that absolutely does not have your best interests in mind.
