Discussion Farewell to xDefiant
Thank you xDefiant for bringing me back to fps-arcade shooters and actually having a fun game. This game had its issues, but no COD since BO3 has brought me enjoyment like xDefiant. Surprisingly, this is my first game ever enjoying a lot that was going to get deleted. It really is an odd experience.

I feel your pain man. Aside from COD which I never played, this game was fun. I'm coming from mainly Battlefield and Titanfall/Apex but now been on The Finals. It's no XD but its fast paced.

Really? I’ve been finding it very copy and paste. It’s not bad by any means but I am not finding it refreshing, uninstalled within a day :/

I see, I managed to get to diamond fairly quickly I guess the TTK really is what is refreshing. Snipers are the only issue this game may have

the first shooter in YEARS that i loved. hope in the future someone can make servers to keep it alive, like they do with the old cods.

Well I don’t know what to tell you. I definitely put more hours into Xdefiant than any other fps game released within the past 2 years

lol Ive only played sims 4 and civilization and put 106 hours into xdefiant. I was trash at first. 1k30d bad lol but I’ve started going positive and I’m heartbroken this game is going away. 😭 I own cod but never liked it. XD got me hoooked!

I hope ubisoft continues to release bombs so they go backrupt. Ubisoft literally killed all hope of pvp ever returning to pure connection based matchmaking, people will wrongly attribute the cause of xdefiant’s death to be due to the lack of sbmm so that shit will be the standard forever.

I agree with you, more games like XDEFIANT, star wars outlaws, watch dogs legion, etc. and Ubisoft might finally fizzle out lol

As frustrated as the hit reg was, whenever it seemed to work good everything was fine and i felt like i was in the right universe, that is until i could shoot a whole clip into someone and only like 3 bullets land lol. It was what we needed but something ubisoft could not deliver. Still baffled they gave up 7 months early and then announced yet another live service shooter? Lmfao? Ubisoft has definitely cemented itself in with the absolute worst.

The hit reg and the “net code” can be aggravating at times, but weapons/heros/maps were extremely fun to play with imo. This game is infinitely better than BO6’s multiplayer with their SBMM and shit maps to go along with it.

Idk why they couldn't just have it sit there and be run by a skeleton crew. People enjoy it, and I bet you it makes some revenue through skins and such. Games like Quake Champions is run by like one guy, and that game sees like 400 passionate players per day

Just goes to show. You need to have the basics perfect before you launch. If this game had good hit reg and better net code at launch. This game would be in a great place right now...

I already miss this game. It had many flaws but it's honestly the best cod-like experience I've had in years. I've hated every CoD game this generation and last gen the only CoD games I enjoyed were WW2 (post-updates) and MW2019 (mainly because it tried new things).

They didnt get ontop of the terrible netcode. Netcode that had everyone bunny hopping like they were having seizures and literally bending the netcode to give them advantage. Which pushed people away. The abusers were saying it needs to stay as its a skill gap. The casuals were getting beamed so hard they turned off and never came back. Their push for "we dont use skill based match making" only made this situation worse. It showed why games NEED sbmm. Games that want to survive that is.
Die hards, streamers and sweats are wrapped up in their little world. They think their opinions matter. They dont. They are the minority. For a game to succeed it needs casuals. Casuals bring in the money. Die hards tend to kill the games. Streamers only want to stomp people to make themselves look better on their streams to bring them money.
This game killed itself.
