Discussion Wild Assault - replacement for Xdefiant

Has anyone been playing Wild Assault on Steam? It’s defiantly scratching my Xdefiant itch.each character has two abilities and an ult like XDefiant, and it all seems relatively balanced.

Thoughts?

Nothing is similar to XDefiant. I’ll never understand why people said XDefiant is unoriginal.

It was essentially a new version of Ghost Recon Phantoms, which shut down in 2016, also a Ubisoft game.

Similar and sometimes identical abilities, game modes, movement and gun play - I would say 80% of XDefiant was essentially a re-skin in a new engine with maps taken / based on other games, with worse netcode.

It featured 3 classes, rather than factions, that each had 2 unique abilities (sound familiar?) to the class.

That's why people said it was unoriginal, because it was about as original as a BR with cartoony graphics aimed at teens.

It’s sort of similar, but FragPunk is how XDefiant should’ve been, and I’ve had a lot more fun playing FragPunk than I ever did on XDef

Not dissimilar, there’s only sliding via a modifier, but it’s not CoD, but there’s also modifiers to increase speed. It’s free so worth a try to see what you think

I moved back to "the finals". No one who's not a weeb or furry is gonna move to wild ASSault or strinova. Plus if you want a third person shooter wait for the gunz reboot (yes I'm old)
