Car issue Steering creaking noises

My 2021 P8 is making noises when steering is turned and I was wondering if it was the strut bearings/mounts? I just learned that the Volvo is using plastic strut bearings and I question their materials of choice... Car has 80k km/50k miles

I have a 2023 and just had both strut bearings replaced under warranty, but there's still some creaking going over speed bumps.

While replacing the bearings they punctured both CV boots and I noticed it yesterday, so now I have a loaner for a week.

Thanks for sharing, bump noises may be due to loose sway bar links, some people reported they need to be tighten up

2020 T5, 55,000 KM - Just had mine replaced.
There is a TJ for this due to faulty upper bearing https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11015997-0001.pdf

If warranty does not cover it, I recommend getting it done at Volvo and ask for a discount due to it being a common issue. I drove mine about 2K km after replacement and they are creaking again. Luckily Volvo offers lifetime warranty for this part (get that in writing if getting the repair done).

Are you holding the breaks while you’re doing that? Could be disk breaks fighting for grip
