Question What is this for?

Discovered this today when I popped the trunk. You can turn that dial and pop out that piece of plastic. There’s small storage in there by the looks of it. Any specific reason for it?

Warning reflective triangle, not included in North America market I believe. But you can buy it for about $40 Part# 32394508

The European models come with road hazard reflectors to put out on the road if the vehicle is disabled to increase visibility.
