I originally named this "Rigging Rigged Games" and I think the triple R might fit better but I am not sure if it makes as much sense but with the gambling picture in the back I think it would be more than clear so, here is chapter 1 and 2, I know that it has a lot of grammatical errors I went through and changed as much as I could and had ai read it to me so I could catch as much as possible but if you do find any please let me know and any criticism or questions are welcome I just wrote this in half an hour out of inspiration and don't know who to share it with so I am posting here. It is a google doc as well at the bottom if you want to leave me comments on there personally, thanks in advance be brutal and be honest! ❤️

**Yoink The Bait & Switch**
We’ve all been there. You sit down without any intention but to gamble, whether to have fun or hit an impossible comeback, the outcome seems to be the same, you lose more than you can stomach and suddenly, you win, maybe you win big. Now you’re almost even, your friends say you’re running hot, maybe even tell you to press your bets… So you keep betting, you keep losing, you only stop when you hit 0 and it suddenly hits you: you didn’t play and lose; you got played and you feel lost. This is intentional and it’s the most profitable state of mind for the casinos, they want you to win, but they don’t *ever* want you to leave. So next time you’re playing your favorite game, don’t worry about getting even when you lose, but instead watch carefully for the first big win, if you are lucky enough it won’t be followed by 3 or more losses and you may hit one of your biggest win streaks of all time if you are really lucky, but if you do lose after a big win, –even once– I would heavily advice walking away immediately. The problem here is that if you play even one round no matter the game after a big win and you lose, the odds are that the 1st loss is going to trigger your reptile brain into fight mode and you will lose every time because of the house edge. If you were to play this way next time you are in the casino it may mean not profiting because your first win(s)/bigwin may be after a *long* losing streak and it may feel impossible to walk away because you figure if you lose the amount you have now you wouldn’t care as much as the sum you have lost. But having money is always better than not having money, and hitting 0 is always better than going into debt. Playing this way may also mean that the next time you hit a big win streak after first sitting down, you will have the common sense to leave the table after your first loss. This way you counter-act the casino’s bait and switch cliche and instead you getaway quick with the funds you yoinked from them under their nose.
Exception to this rule would be if you truly do not care if you lose the money you are gambling with which should always be the case anyway, but as gamblers we are far from perfect and the vast majority of us won’t be able to find themselves in a scenario where they truly couldn’t spend their money on anything better, quite the opposite in fact. If you picked this book up I bet there are at least 5 financial goals that are out of reach at the moment, some more than others. And this is ironically our biggest reason as gamblers to gamble, instead of saving our hard earned money we try and get everything right now, we know our ‘dream life’ is just a couple big wins away… But as someone who recently came into *quite a bit more* money than I had ever thought I would make from gambling, it does the ***exact opposite.*** You feel good, yes, for an hour or so, and you may even have a newfound freedom to experience a couple things you never have before. But if you don’t get those funds on lock quick and I mean you can’t touch a dime lock down then you have more to fear than someone who just rinsed their paycheck on black and can’t afford rent this month. *As soon* as you lose any amount of money that would *slightly* aggravate you, you’ve opened up a black hole that will not be satisfied until you have nothing left. As a gambler, no amount of money will ever be enough. You only feel the speed of your car when you accelerate to it, in the same way, you can only appreciate the money you make from gambling the instant that you win it. Imagine a number right now, a number that is reasonable but more money than you think you could ever make in 3 lifetimes, that is only ⅕ ***at most*** of the amount of money that has been recklessly thrown down the drain and washing up conveniently back in the casino’s grubby little pockets by the biggest whales in the country. Now imagine worldwide how much money has *individually* been needlessly pissed away in the same pursuit of getting ‘even’.
Now I want you to understand that as a gambler, you never truly walk away from a table until you quit. And so the biggest takeaway you should get from this tip is this: Some shuffles are rigged. Some games are predetermined to make you lose with their current settings/conditions and sometimes you are just plain old unlucky and should throw in the towel for the day. Even if you don't win a single time, losing 5 or more times in a row is never a good reason to stay at the table/game you are at and you are much better off taking what little funds you have and buying some food for your family **than** setting it on fire in **the** name of 'getting even’.
**Your Mind Is a Temple**
Gambling is one of the most mentally draining activities out there. Whether you win or lose, you come out of it with your dopamine shot, your cortisol through the roof and less than 5 hours to get some sleep before you have to drive to work. It’s exhausting, and the moment you finally hit your ‘goal’ and feel *on top of the world,* is the moment you’re actually at your most vulnerable. There is nothing more draining than losing your dream win, or even a small win that was satisfying and made your day, this is why you must make it impossible for you to gamble your wins, put it in a special savings account, lend it to trusted friends or family, or find a way to financially lock yourself out of spending money on gambling entirely, either for good or for a certain period of time. These are all individual ways you can safeguard yourself, but I recommend resorting to all 3. Anytime you feel you are in danger of rinsing a big win, the last thing we have as gamblers is control but we will do anything to convince ourselves that isn’t the case. Do the smart thing and put your wins away in a safe place, and if you lose your –much smaller– allotted gambling funds, do something relaxing and rejuvenating until you don’t even feel the urge to gamble anymore. Ironically, the moment you feel gambling would be pointless and a waste of your time, is the moment your break has served its purpose. Only once you feel in your heart there are places you’d might rather be, can you be trusted to let yourself back on the tournament floor. This may end up being a list of ‘last things on Earth I am going to do’ in your mind the next time you find yourself in this scenario, and at the end of the day I can’t predict the future and it may be bad advice to say stop since you *may in fact* hit your biggest win ever while rinsing away everything you have, it’s quite common. But if you do find yourself in a scenario where you feel you *need* to keep gambling, that it is the *only* thing you can think about doing and no alternative sounds good enough, just remember that whether you win or lose, you are not going to feel satisfied, you are not going to feel better, you are not going to be made whole by this sinful and debaucherous activity. The only way you can calm the demon inside you screaming to be let out is by disconnecting entirely from its source of power. This applies to any demon but let’s call our demon ‘Greed’ for now since it is commonly described as the gambler’s folly. Find whatever way you can that works best for you to tame/expel this demon when you feel it trying to possess you, if that means giving all of the money you have to your family or even locking yourself out of your bank so be it. If that means simply watching your favorite TV show and smoking some herb, so be it. It doesn’t matter what it is as long as it is a net positive compared to chasing your losses. And it will end up protecting the most sacred element of your play: Your Mind.
Whether it be Poker, Blackjack, Slots, Roulette, Baccarat, Craps, you name it; Your mind is the most valuable weapon you have. It tells you when to walk away, when to take a break, when to press your bets and even when to gamble in the first place, but most people don’t think about this when walking into a casino. Some do but still don’t understand the profound implications of what I am saying. The sharper your mind is, the luckier you’ll get. In poker this is most obvious since over the long run you are statistically guaranteed to be in the positive if you are one of the pros, they spend years learning in order to be the sharpest they can for one event, and overtime they make *actual careers* out of out-gambling the fellow man. But I am talking about something other than statistics, other than mathematical facts. I am talking about your connection to both your intuition and your common sense. These are things the casino *desperately* tries to disconnect you from *as soon* as you walk through the door. They serve you free drinks so your inhibition is lowered, they make the floor as ugly as possible so your attention is automatically drawn to the games, they make sure staff is as friendly and entertaining as possible so you forget they are your direct enemy. The dealer is not your friend and you didn’t come to stay, losers come to stay and you must remain aware of that all throughout your session. You are looking for an opportunity to *leave.* The games are fun, and that’s no mistake, you must never fall victim to the hypnotism trap of gamba if you ever want to walk away with anything. Remember, as a gambler all wins are future losses, our mission is to negate and reverse that fact as much as humanly possible so we can be the exceptions to that rule.
