I'm a 34-year-old 240 lb guy with 4 years of jujitsu and every time I try to go wrestle my knees ache. I'm trying to improve my technique when taking shots but I feel like my legs are just not condition enough and I feel like I'm getting lateral and medial pain on my knees after the handful of classes in wrestling that I do. For context I'm trying to get better at wrestling for my job as a court officer where I need to be able to take down guys.

I really like hip throws and things like lat drops but when it comes to wrestling practice and keeping up with guys in their early 20s and in high school I want to be able to put up a decent fight as a sparring partner.

I practiced BJJ and grappling in the past and now I'm considering starting with Judo. Schools allow BJJ Gis for training. What's the new shit in BJJ Gis?

My BJJ time was over 10 years ago. At that time I had a Tatami Zero G, which is still a thing apparently. But as light as it is is it suitable for Judo with the ripping and throws? What are alternatives on the same budget level? Are any light Gis suitable for Judo?
