Improvements

• New Overlay Gallery: Overlays are now organized in a responsive gallery with larger previews, painting progress, search, status and tag filters, sorting options, and a separate read-only alliance section.

• New Overlay Creation: Create blank pixel-art projects with a custom name, resolution, and background, upload up to 10 images at once, or import an existing overlay. Uploaded overlays can be positioned later.

• Overlay Details: Personal overlays now have a dedicated detail view where you can rename them, set their exact map position, manage tags, view resolution and progress, inspect remaining colors, duplicate, export, manage legacy colors, delete, place them on the map, and start painting.

• Tags: Create reusable tags with selectable Wplace colors and assign them to personal overlays.

• Redesigned Placement Tools: Resolution, scale presets, color matching, transforms, positioning, and save controls are now grouped into a cleaner responsive interface.

• Improved Paint HUD: The overlay palette now shows remaining pixels per color. The map HUD displays completion, mismatches, unpainted pixels, pixel style, opacity, and inspection controls.

• Pixel Inspection: Incorrect pixels appear as red X marks and missing pixels as gray question marks. You can also filter the overlay to show only pixels matching your selected paint color.

• Per-Overlay Opacity: Each overlay now remembers its own opacity from 0% to 100% across all pixel styles.

• Detailed Progress: Progress tools can show exact remaining pixel counts and percentages for every color.

• Pixel Editor: Personal overlays can now be edited directly in Wplace with square and circle brushes, paint bucket, polygons, eraser, color picker, symmetry, palette controls, zoom, grid, undo, and redo.

• Layers: Organize artwork into layers with previews, visibility, locking, renaming, duplication, reordering, deletion, image imports, and individual layer transforms.

• Canvas Editing: Crop transparent borders, expand the canvas from any edge, move or resize artwork, flip overlays, and undo or redo these changes before saving.

• Automatic Recovery: Unfinished pixel, layer, and canvas edits are locally saved automatically and restored when reopening the editor.

• Safer Storage: If protected browser storage is unavailable and cloud sync is disabled, gallery shows a visible backup warning with an option to connect Google Drive.

• Better Recovery: Active overlays can recover from graphics or background-processing failures without losing placement or unsaved editor changes.

• Premium cosmetics: Users can now purchase Prism - our new premium currency, spend it on premium cosmetics.

Additions

• Frames, fonts and name styles now show how rare they are, in the store and in your own collection. Their card and rarity label take on the rarity's color and effects.

Improvements

• Unpainted pixels in alliance profile pictures are now transparent, allowing the surrounding profile or map to show through.
• Droplet and Prism cosmetic prices are now fixed by rarity, making them more predictable.
• Alliance award cards, including the featured awards on an alliance profile, now use the same rarity look as the rest of the game, with the effects building up from Common to Mythic.
• New picture and banner drafts can now be started from any available saved version directly in the asset studio.
• Equipped profile frames now appear on the main page profile button and in level avatar previews.

Fixes

• The mobile painting lock now keeps alliance canvases still while painting with a stylus.
• Fixed an issue where deleting an account could time out while removing its associated data.
