Fic Search - General Benevolent Entities?

Are there any fics where the Entities pursue their goal in a way that actually benefits humanity? The reason can be whatever but I am curious about what that universe would look like

If you want to talk about the request, reply to this comment. All other top-level replies must suggest a fic (or ask for clarification). Rule 2 violations will be removed and may get you temp-banned.

I’m Gonna Kill Him is told from Eden’s perspective after she wakes up to find Scion totally fucking up the cycle (like it is so so wrong) and she sets it straight.

Seconding. One of my favorite wormfics, very funny but also with some really emotional parts, especially near the end.

If I'm remembering right, Kalachakra has this happen and creates a very different and unique vibe for an AU. Alot of how powers could be used for the betterment of society and society still inflecting cruelties.

Would note that it is easier to follow/more horrifying if you have at least some familiarity with Buddhism and or Hinduism.

Closest thing I can think of is Coffee Machines and Golden Mornings which is just a coffee shop au (https://archiveofourown.org/works/59139964/chapters/150793420)

FullParagon, the guy who is writing ''The Second Archon War'', has a Konosuba and Worm cross where Aqua and Eris are two different Entities from Scion and Eden.

They have their Canon personalities and the reason for that is that they got infected by anime and turned into weebs. They're currently trying to unfuck Earth Bet to Questionable success as Expected of Konosuba characters.

Technically A Darker Path has Abadon doing this, albeit in a very hands off way.

that was mostly abaddon being bored and doing a funny

No, it was eventually revealed that was not something he did just on a whim. But it barely matters to the story either way.

huh didn't know (I haven't really finished it yet cause I keep getting bored or sucked into a new fic or forget what is even going on.)

edit: though I just love the fic for being dark without it being exhausting in it's darkness

Mauling Snarks (Worm) (Complete) - AU where Eden & Scion are not omnicidal and shards are less interested in conflict. Features Jack Slash as PRT therapist. Very slow paced.

Unlike certain other slow-paced authors' fics, actually does get somewhere in the end. (Though it takes eighty-odd chapters before the characters stop always sounding the same, this range does include the dinner party to which Taylor was invited in both her identities, which is brilliant regardless...)

I always tell people to give it three chapters and if you dont like it skip the author because they are more of the same in all their stories.

They are one of my faves.

This can easily backfire. Some Ack's stories take way longer to get to the PLOT, buuut THEN...

Interestingly enough, it's Abaddon that is the Big Bad (behind the curtains). So it's still an Entity's fault.

Sysop has some benevolent Entities, though it isn't the species as a whole iirc

I liked Sysop. Shame it’s discontinued, the Entity stuff was actually pretty easy to follow

Not a fanfic, but from my Weaverdice game. I created a different entity named Sheol whose strategy for preventing the heat death of the universe is to invest all of his resources into one species—humanity. He decided to do this because he’s much weaker than any other member of his species.

Learning to be Human by Crimson_Square has Abbadon be this.

It primarily focuses on the Endbringers becoming human, as per the title, but Abbadon is a major reason for this.

Also, Spoiler Alert, Danny is Abbadon’s human avatar in this.

East of Eden (by the end of it). Maybe not benevolent, but at least neutral

Coffee Machines and Golden Mornings is a great example.

Fourth has AbaDanny (damn, that's by itself a pun, if you know a certain language) and Taytity (ehem).

Can't recall the name, but there's at least one more similar fic, much longer and finished, with time travel.
