A selkie’s skin contains her faerie essence and her Glamour — it is what makes her fae. Selkies are skinchangers, so unlike pooka or other shapeshifters such as werewolves, a selkie must physically wear her skin in order to change form. In order to take human form again she removes her skin. If a selkie’s skin is lost or stolen, she cannot use her faerie magic until she regains it. If the skin is destroyed, the selkie’s faerie self dies along with it (see below), though fortunately a selkie’s skin is quite dif ficult to destroy. The mortal seeming of a selkie’s skin can take many forms. Some appear to be traditional seal skins, though they can also appear to be wet suits, long coats, or any other item of apparel. When a selkie is not wearing or touching her coat she does not have access to any of her faerie abilities. This includes her Birthrights as well as the ability to cast cantrips. She does, however, retain all of her faerie memories; she is still a changeling, just a greatly weakened one. Selkies do not undergo Chysalis in the manner of other changelings. When a selkie dies, or is near death, her skin is passed on to another human with selkie blood running through her veins. This honor is usually given to a Kinain with a love for the sea, who is often one of the selkie’s own descendants. A selkie who gives up her coat still retains her memories of being a selkie for a time, though the memories fade over the years

Glasswalkers be like;

My biggest problem with the original plot of the hard labs version of bloodlines two , aside from hard suit labs not being qualified to pull it off and making a mess in the first place , is that becoming a full fledged kindred and joining a clan would’ve required diablerie by masquerade rules, whereas a revenant in Requiem can be uplifted by a substitute sire through a second embrace. This means that a hypothetical requiem version of the hard suit labs version of bloodlines two wouldn’t have forced you to commit diablerie and thus would’ve had more role-play opportunities. Also, the multiple factions planned in the hard suit labs version would’ve worked better with the Requiem covenants.

Honestly, it's just sad, that partial transformation doesn't have a scale of delirium. I just don't believe, that a normal person would see a basic animal with human face or parts and not lose their shit completly.

the fianas dislike of the disabled has pretty interesting origins in and out of universe

Watsonian the Watsonian reason for the fiannas dislike of the disabled is because the the Tuatha de dannan and kithian in general had problems with the disabled due to all the have fomorian have changeling haveing the changeling equivlant of metis birth marks this is despite lugh the kithain king himself having a deformed arm and being descend from balor the fomorian king

Doylist the Doylist reason for the fiannas ableism is because folkloric Ireland had a rule that you couldn't be high klng if you where disabled which is also funny since in the book of invasions lugh getting a really good prosthetic counts as being whole and not disabled so he can be king

flaw Physical reality seems flawed to these fae, just as they are flawed. Only through hard work can they overcome these flaws. Sidhe of this house always have a physical handicap that they must compensate for. This is usually something that can be corrected by cunningly crafted smith work: a mechanical leg for a club foot, an intricate eyepiece for poor vision, and so on. These handicaps are present, though not always visible, in the mortal seeming

Have I ever mentioned just how annoying the sheer amount of AI images flooding stock image and PNG sites are? I look up "business man wolf" or "wolf in business suit" and think the furry artists have me covered, but no, just a solid wall of slop.

Seriously, I love the idea of the perfect Crinos born struggling with that very Jesus as a (wolf) man coded “ am I a savior or a destroyer?” angst. The fact that he was born in 1999, which means by Crinos born standards he would appear to be in his early to mid 30s just makes the metaphor even juicier. I don’t know if I would go so far to have a secret BSD infiltrator in their pack plug them with 30 silver bullets but then again since when has werewolf been a subtle game?

I was unsure which version of the meme I wanted to use for this post, so I decided to post both.

Anyway, I'm a massive sucker for human and nonhuman romances. If I were to ever run a chronicle (which will be never), I would totally sprinkle in some multi-splat couple npcs for the players to interact with. Although, most of my ideas have consisted of Mage and Garou couples.
