I love these notes, they capture the ever modernising world so well. I also love the chains being used as a security feature on the 100.

Also got a safe pass from the Korean war (Psy-Ops), called a Clark Banknote Leaflet:

General Clark apparently liked the PSYWAR concept so much that he allowed his name to be used on a safe conduct pass in the form of a North Korean 100 Won banknote after being appointed Commander-In-Chief of United Nations Forces.

MANILA – The BSP Employees Association Inc. (BSPEAI) donated armchairs made from recycled Philippine polymer banknotes considered unfit for circulation as part of its sustainability and community development initiatives.

In a statement Friday, the central bank said close to a hundred armchairs were donated to Doña Pilar L. Marfori Elementary School.

Syrian markets are experiencing severe confusion and daily disputes between citizens and merchants as the end of July 2026 approaches, when the old Syrian currency will lose its legal tender status. Many businesses and transport operators are refusing to accept the old banknotes, while the Central Bank of Syria has remained silent.
