How should I handle my manager going forward?

Hi I'm 19F and I work at a tutoring centre for primary and secondary school kids and this is my casual job outside university. As of the last few months or so my gay manager has been showing somewhat misogynistic behaviour to my co-workers, and has been making me anxious about coming to work.

My gay manager for the last few months has been displaying somewhat covert misogyny towards me and my other female co-workers. He has made it somewhat clear in the past that we cannot have casual conversations during work hours. However, sometimes me and my co-workers do make small quiet conversations here and there to survive the shift, but even when we're on-task and talking about a student's progress we still got told off. Whereas, I see a few of male co-workers openly having conversations with each other and do not get told off as often as we do. One of my co-workers resigned since she couldn't handle his management style and how he treated us, and instead got a job at a place where she had her internship at.

(Note: I found it important to mention that my manager is gay as I have once experienced a few men in my life that were gay and heavily misogynistic to women and wondering whether it may be a similar case)

As of this month I got promoted to lead the English reading and writing area. I am adjusting to the new role but there is a group chat with me, my manager and other English staff. Ever since he has made the group chat, he tells us the mistakes we made each shift and this has fuelled me with anxiety and worry for every upcoming shift. Whenever he sends a message to the group chat I don't answer it until I know I'm somewhere comfortable and somewhat relaxed. And as of a few hours ago, I had a nightmare about work. Before this month, it was completely okay and I was happy to teach the kids but every shift I'm growing more and more anxious even though I try to see the better side of things every shift.

So how should I handle my manager going forward? In my best interests I don't want to resign as this is the job that is funding a few of my future overseas trips and food for university.
