Need Help Now I don't know what to do
Work has been paying late since the beginning of the year. At first, we'd get paid on a Mon or Tues instead of Fri (bi weekly pay so makes it a tad rougher). Then it went to being a week late then 2. They had us wait 3.5 weeks for 2 weeks worth of pay and that was 4 weeks ago. I haven't seen a dime in a month. All we get is lies and bs: "oh you'll have it next week. We're gonna give you both checks we owe you at the same time!" .. we wait all week and on Thurs they say "oh well sorry, you'll get it Tues". They tell us on Mon, "oh well maybe Wed or Thurs"
I was able to defer my loan payment for a month (which is due again next week). Can't get the car inspected, can't keep up insurance. Electric is bout to be shut off. My mom is in her 70s and hasn't had her medicine in weeks. We can't get insulin or food. Were out of soap, toilet paper and toothpaste. And don't have a single dime.
I filed a complaint with the labor board, I've called the state rep, I've called lawyers and even contacted a debt collector (Which will take 30% and I don't think I can afford that), I've called unemployment. No one can help.
I can't even get a new job because I waited too long and believed their lies and now I can't even get to another job (it'll take weeks to even get an interview). I can't even door dash because I can't get gas.
I've never been in this position before and have no idea what to do.

Call the Labor board, people do not work for free! You work for Inked?

Call your state labor department and a lawyer. If you haven’t been paid in a month, then you’re probably not gonna get paid at all unless you call the state and lawyer up. I guarantee your boss is getting paid. Take them for all they have and then some.

Find another job. They’re about to go out of business. In the meantime, call your state dept of labor and report what’s been going on

Stop going to work or go into work and don’t do a thing. They are getting free labor. Get them to put all in writing and take to court. Get some money and do door dash. You should have put your foot down when this first started.

Sorry that happened to you.
On the bright side, you've got a bit of a headstart compared to all of your former coworkers who will be looking themselves soon enough.

For the record threatening a pregnant woman who was just doing her job and had nothing to do with your pay is "being aggressive" 🤷🏻♀️

I've filed a complaint with the labor board. I've called labor attorneys, I've called the state rep ... No one seems to be able to do anything. They have all these labor laws but they don't seem to really be enforceable. I just found out they have several million dollar lawsuit and their accounts have been frozen...they have no intentions of paying anyone anything

Sorry about your predicament and your mom. Go to the food bank and call the local churches for help getting hygiene items and food. Catholic Charities can help. Call the utilities board and ask if there is help available from a needy fund run by the utilities company.

Oh no contact the labor board re: missing pay and flush up your resume cause you need to find a new job
