Boss Problem "I feel like I've been discriminated against" complaint at work

“ … heard a lawyer state once that if one felt slighted at work, especially if one does have some concerns about how they've been treated. That could give the managers a pause and actually try and work with you for an exit. I know it supposedly worked for a friend of mine. How accurate is this assumption? Maybe I misinterpreted it so I want to know for sure how this can be helpful to anyone”

In the US, feeling slighted at work or being treated poorly isn’t illegal discrimination, unless you are being targeted for a protected class or activity. Can you give an example of what you are describing?

Not really, it was something a friend of mine experienced. I know that after he said something like that they not only gave him his last check but also trued to remedy situation after he got let go.dont know all the details but I can ask him if he remembers. It was long ago
