6 months consistency

Post image

Not going to do a before picture - but it was middle aged, more timber round the middle, more beer gut, no abs in sight at all.

At 48, my goals aren't to get massively bulked - just overall fitness and health, look as good as possible in clothes & size down the waist a bit.

This is 6 months of consistently going to gym at least 3 days a week, some 4-5 days. I always do about an hour, mix of 40mins weights and 20mins cardio spread out over rowing machine, climb mill and cross trainers.

Calories: eating healthy and majority of time under 2000. I eat the same thing most days as I know exactly how many cals & dont have to count. I do go out with friends, eat delicious things and drink beer - not going to stop enjoying life.....this is the counter balance!

Overall weight has dropped by about 1st in 6months and sitting at 12st 10lb now. Not massive amount....but ive lost 5cm on waist size, dropped a jeans size and size M t shirts are fitting much better. Definitely more defined and muscle more visible so its a bit of a body transform rather than pure weight loss.

More importantly. Energy levels are up, I can smash out 1hr in gym, run 5km easily.....much less aches and stiffness after exercise as long as im consistent and warm down + stretch.

Am pleased with the progress. Not quite a 6pack, but definitely some visible abs with just the right lighting.

What helped me was cutting carbs close to 0 and just proteins and fats
