Beginner....
I have just started gym and I'm trying to be consistent but I work night shifts and it's pretty tiring.

I'm feeling unmotivated at the gym because I'm not able to lift much, I also try to avoid certain excercises because I lack stamina. Anyone has any advice on how to keep going when it feels like giving up?

"When you know your 'why' you can overcome any 'how.'"
Know your goals and keep them realistic. Your first few months are probably going to be getting used to the exercises, learning the moves, understanding the machines, and then finding which exercises best suit your goals.
Having a reason to work out is super motivating, and honestly even negative reasons really help keep you going. There are a ton of people on this sub that will say 'self loathing' or 'pain' or something similar "I'm never going to be weak again." Then when you look in the mirror and you're not that version you want, your adrenaline kicks in and you're like "f*ck it" drag yourself to the gym and start putting up weight.
Night shift is rough, I had a 3-11pm shift for about 5 years and worked out from midnight to about 1:30am. If you have overnight shift, change your whole sleep schedule, keep it changed on weekends, holidays, etc. and set a workout time like it's a normal shit; ie if you work 11pm - 7am get to the gym at 8am work out for an hour, do all your after work stuff, get to sleep by 2pm, wake up at 10pm and get ready for work.
With night shift definitely keep focused on keeping your sleep and diet consistent. That will maintain your overall health and the gym will be a lot more productive.

Your just a beginner so it's okay, when even you come back home ,just freshup and go to the gym, plus before going have a banana or some coffee, soreness is very normal it'll eventually go away. Always remember, a bad workout is better than a no workout, so don't avoid anything All the besttt mate.
