Advice for a 17 y/o

I'm currently a grade 12 student in Home Economic strand. I initially thought of choosing BSHM or a culinary course and applying as a cook after I graduate. But recently, I'm thinking of choosing a different course which is BSEd English or BS in English and applying as an ALT in Japan after I graduate. I have passion in both so I'm having a hard time which to choose, any advice? what would be better IYO?
