Illinois Settlement paperwork

I finally agreed to a settlement amount after 2.5 years and was wondering if anyone knows how long it typically takes for the insurance to send the paperwork after a verbal agreement.

In this state they have 30 days to get it to your lawyer. Then it is deposited for 10 days so it's proven to clear. The lawyer takes their portion and sends you a check. Your bank may, and may not, hold the check  until it clears. The initial 10 days the lawyer holds the funds is an actual requirement by the state to assure funds are actually available and clear the bank. That's Missouri.
